The brightness temperatures of Ganymede and Callisto have been measured at a wavelength of 1.3 cm. A flux-density scale was used to calibrate the observations, and brightness temperatures for Jupiter and Saturn have been derived on the same scale. The brightness temperatures of Ganymede and Callisto, 73.6 + or - 5.6 K and 77.9 + or - 6.5 K, respectively, provide accurate points on the spectra and confirm previously suggested differences in their surface properties.
