In the year since its launch, Fermi LAT has increased by nearly an order of magnitude the number of known gamma-ray pulsars in the sky, including at least 16 pulsars discovered in blind searches and 8 MSPs, as well as other young radio pulsars. The large number and variety of detected gamma-ray pulsars offers the first opportunity to conduct realistic population studies on these objects. I will present the salient features of the new gamma-ray population and discuss some of the preliminary conclusions that can be drawn from such studies.
