Binaries: Eclipsing

Scientific paper

We present a progress report on the results obtained from photometric and spectroscopic observations of the interacting binary stars SW Cyg, RR Dra, Y Leo, and SW Lyn in our Galaxy. Analogous studies could be eventually carried out for interacting binaries in the Local Group galaxies. From this study we note the significant Hα line profile variations in spectra of SW Cyg taken at two different orbital phases.
