An effort is made to better constrain the precession rate of the Mars spin axis, in order to arrive at a better estimate of the moment of inertia of Mars. Estimates are presented of the rotational parameters of Mars based on Viking Lander tracking data, Mariner 9 and Viking orbiter tracking data, and a combination of the two; a comparative tabulation is given.
