A study has been undertaken to investigate the possible relation between height of the tropical tropopause and sunspot number using observations with Indian MST radar at Gadanki (13.47°N, 79.1°E). We have found anti- correlation between the height of the tropical tropopause and sunspot number. This anti-correlation between the tropopause height and sunspot number has been further confirmed by the nearest radiosonde observing station of India Meteorology Department at Chennai (13.040N, 80.140E).
