On a batch of 2-dimensional He I 10830 spectra of polar areas of the sun obtained with our imaging spectrograph, ``dark points'' were recorded. The velocities of the dark points were directly measured for the first time, we believe. On our spectroheliograms of 1995-05-08, dark structures (10%-20% in absorption) exist on a scale of 10''-20''. Their morphology and intensity varied on a time scale of 40 min, the intensity varying by 30%-100%. From off-band (+/-0.14Å) images the dark points were found to have blueshift between 5-17 km/s. No corresponding features are seen in the simultaneously observed continuum. In some localized areas, the He I 10830 is less and the chromospheric network, lees clear, indicating the presence of coronal holes.
