The results of observations of ultraviolet continuas in 101 galaxies are reported. The radio telescope used for the observations and the observational methods are summarized, and the galaxies with the most striking characteristics in the radio and optical wavelength ranges are individually discussed. It is concluded that two new subclasses need to be added to the classification proposed by Wilson (1979): (1) objects with X-ray emission and narrow emission lines which are frequently weak radio sources, and (2) galaxies in any of Wilson's subclasses which are also members of clusters and of which a high percentage are also radio sources.
