NUSEX and Soudan I data on Cyg X-3 are compared with data obtained with the Baksan underground scintillation telescope. Baksan data do not confirm the presence of a signal in the 0.6-0.9 phase range. In fact, the Baksan data strongly contradict the NUSEX and Soudan I data if the usual mechanisms of muon production are assumed. The flux limit for a muon energy of greater than 500 GeV in the 0.7-0.8 phase range is lower than the flux limit obtained with the NUSEX facility in the same phase range for muon energies greater than 3000 GeV even if the difference in angular aperture is taken into account.
