Low-resolution IUE spectra reveal broad flux depressions at
λλ1600 and 3040 Å in several horizontal-branch
stars. These features have previously been found in the λ Boo
stars, which are peculiar stars of a different population but share the
property of metal-weakness with the horizontal-branch stars.
