A fixed point method is used to study the plane averaged elliptical three body problem. Equations of motion are formulated and attention is given to classes of simple periodic orbits generated by libration points, and to internal and external classes of periodic symmetrical orbits. The three body problem of earth-moon-satellite is considered in particular.
