The paper discusses two numerical methods that can play the significant role of 'numerical simulators of stability' in the corresponding astrophysical problems to which they are applied. They are the 'explicit numerical stability-analysis technique', for studying secular variations in the restricted problem, and the 'complex-plane strategy', which can be efficiently used in the computation of differentially rotating polytropic models. The two methods are found to be efficient alternatives for studying stability in the problems in which they are involved.
