In the model proposed in the present paper, the fluid is characterized by the mean density, while the thermal expansion, kinematic viscosity, and thermal diffusivity coefficients are treated as constants. The model is used to study convection flows of Prandtl numbers of 0.025 (mercury), 0.7 (air), 3.7 (acetone), 6.7 (water), and also at Pr = 0.3 and Pr = 1. The Rayleigh numbers ranged from 10,000 to 40,000. The results obtained in terms of heat fluxes are tabulated, and the dependence of the heat fluxes on the Prandtl number in the case of cellular convection is examined.
