The first computations of the Stokes I, Q, and U parameters from a self-consistent MHD simulation of a jet with a passive helical magnetic field are presented. The results can be compared directly with astronomical observations of real extragalactic radio sources. Once the structures associated with passive fields are well understood, the polarization properties of jets with active magnetic fields can be studied.
