We consider the case of uniformly rotating Unruh detectors around the symmetry axis in a general axisymmetric static spacetime, with the assumption that the quantum field is confined in a compact spatial domain. The confinement property is assured by imposing Dirichlet boundary conditions on an appropriate surface or/and due to the intrinsic compactness of space. We show that, whenever the detector's co-rotating frame can be extended throughout the confining domain, the response function >vanishes.
