The photometric behavior and spectroscopic appearance of NSV 6708 are typical of the R Coronae Borealis class of variable star, except that Balmer series hydrogen lines are clearly present in the spectrum. The limited observations available indicate that NSV 6708 is very active in producing 'deep' or obscurational minima and it is suggested that the star may be currently ejecting its 'hydrogen-rich' outer layers.
