Mira Stars: Identifications, Mira Stars: Light Curves
Scientific paper
A magnitude 10 suspect found on routine sky patrol film exposed on 1989 November 29 was identified as an object reported by Morgenroth (1936) as 634.1936 and subsequently designated as CSV 263 and Prager 2552. The star is also IRAS 02588+6956 and is listed on the Guide Star Catalog as GSC 4317.00077 at V mag. 12.2. A total of 260 magnitude estimates from March 1989 to mid-October 1994 have been collected and analysed using a least-squares fit to a sinusoidal light curve. The light ephemeris is given J.D. max = 2447867.06+244.09·E. Finding charts and a magnitude sequence to 15.4 are provided and the light curve is presented.
