Abstract

A total of 50 pulsars north of declination +20 deg have been detected in the pulsar survey of Damashek, Taylor, and Hulse. Timing observations have revealed that one of the new pulsars, PSR 0655 + 64, is a member of a binary system with an orbital period of 24h 41m and very small eccentricity (which makes it the third known example of a radio pulsar in a binary system). This paper reports parameters of the six new pulsars not published previously, and presents details of the orbit and other characteristics of PSR 0655 + 64.
