Masses and pulsation frequencies of differentially rotating neutron stars are computed as a function of central density for different values of total angular momentum. The calculations are performed by the energy method in the PPN approximation for perfect as well as interacting neutron gases. The results obtained show that nonuniform rotation produces only a small change in the dependence of mass on central density for stable configurations. It is found, however, that there is a rather wide range of secularly unstable configurations whose critical mass is somewhat higher than that of static objects.
