We establish some perturbed minimization principles, and we develop a theory
of subdifferential calculus, for functions defined on Riemannian manifolds.
Then we apply these results to show existence and uniqueness of viscosity
solutions to Hamilton-Jacobi equations defined on Riemannian manifolds.
