The nonlinear structures of two-component self-gravitating systems are investigated by comparison with the treatment of nonlinear oscillations in plasma. It is shown that the structures of self-gravitating systems can be described by nonlinear coupled equations. There is a modulation instability with respect to the longitudinal perturbation; it may lead to collapse and formation of a pancakelike structure. For cosmic conditions, the characteristic structures are obtained on a very large scale: the clusters of galaxies, the superclusters, and the voids.
