Nonlinear behaviours of low frequency acoustic-gravity waves are studied. The atmosphere is considered to be imcompressible and isothermal, and the gravitational acceleration is independent of the height. The nonlinear wave equations are obtained by using the technique of multiple time and space scales. It is shown that the acoustic-gravity waves propagating parallel to the earth's surface satisfy the nonlinear Schroedinger equation which has solutions of soliton-envelopes of wave trains.
