The equations of magneto-hydrodynamics are solved exactly for a flow of incompressible plasma in which a perturbing source exists. The magnetic and electric fields and the current in a steady-state Alfven structure forming in the plasma flow are calculated. Two different solutions of the problem are shown to exist. One solution is essentially nonlinear, and the magnitudes of the perturbations can exceed the background values of the fields. A case is considered when the electric field perturbations in the plasma are absent and a rotational discontinuity is formed.
