An analytic result is presented for the probability of detecting an electron neutrino after passage through one or more resonant oscillation regions. The density of electrons is assumed to vary linearly in the transition region. The analytic result is used to show the regions of parameter space, i.e., the difference of the squared masses versus the vacuum mixing angle, for which the solar neutrino puzzle is solved.
