A restricted class of higher-derivative theories described by a certain action is investigated. It is shown that, for higher derivative theories described by the action S containing only an R-squared term and the cosmological constant Lambda, an exact de Sitterlike model is obtained. For the FRW metric with zero curvature, its behavior for a given radius of the universe is derived. If the metric is conformally flat, S could describe a consistent quantum theory and its classical solutions would correspond to cosmological models in this theory.
