We study the radial Fourier Modes present in low inclination disks of isolated galaxies extracted from the SDSS. Particular attention is given to the frequency and distribution of amplitudes of the A1 mode which is a measure of lopsidedness. Preliminary results of the Fourier modes observed in high resolution N-body simulations of disk galaxies with a population of satellites drawn from a cosmological simulation are presented, along with a discussion of how the results might depend on the mass accretion history (MAH) of galaxies. We discuss the sources of lopsidedness in the simulations.
