Nighttime increases in ionospheric electron content and critical
frequencies of the F2-layer were investigated on Cuba from July 1974 to
December 1980. It is shown that the probability of the occurrence and
the structural parameters of these increases depend to a significant
degree on the time of year and the level of solar activity.
