NGST will benefit from the advances in a broad range of technologies. These include space-qualified cryocoolers for mid-infrared detectors, cryogenic actuators for primary mirror figure control and instrument mechanisms, and tunable filters achieving resolutions in the range R=50 to 200. We present a summary of efforts at the Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Center that are directed toward these goals.
