Starburst galaxies are a main contributor to the star formation in the universe (~20% at z < 0.2 (Brinchmann et al., 2004)), due to dense molecular gas. The nearby spiral galaxies NGC 4945 and NGC 253 are two of the brightest infrared point sources. Both galaxies contain an active galactic nucleus (AGN) and their central regions are among the strongest sources of extragalactic molecular lines, which makes them very interesting candidates for studying molecular gas at the center of an active galaxy. we present the first results of spectroscopically resolved detection of key hydrides, in particular, using LVG modelling we have estimated the H2 densities and molecular column densities of HCO+, HCN, HNC and CS for both the mentioned galaxies.
