Mount Wilson Observatory has installed a 16" Schmidt-Cassegrain Telescope on an LX200 mount. This instrument is located in a clamshell dome on a concrete pier. The site offers a convenient location, excellent seeing, and despite the city lights the sky is well suited for intra galactic work, infrared ob- servations, and is exceptionally dark when the marine layer rolls in. The telescope is available for eyepiece viewing, but instrument work has a higher priority. A trained operator will assist with observations and a computer and CCD camera are available, although guest instruments are welcome.
