A procedure for treating n-body problems is described and applied to two differential systems used to characterize the motion of aligned triple collision. The separation of variables procedure involves an appropriate choice of a coordinate system. For the case of the aligned triple collision, the solution obtained in the new coordinate system by application of a parabolic homothetic treatment is shown to be an equilibrium position asymptotically approached. One of the differential systems is associated with the kinetic energy, and the other system is associated with the potential energy.
