The greater part of the associations presently identified in the M 33 galaxy by comparing U and B system plates, extending the Humphreys and Sandage (1980) numeration, are located in the spiral arms. It is noted that another large part of the associations identified are connected with H II regions, and that young associations prevail in proximity to the nucleus. The associations outline two strong and two faint spiral arms that are as much as 4 kpc from the nucleus, and the farthest associations imply a diameter of 20 kpc.
