New UBV photoelectric observations of the dwarf nova SS Cyg in quiescence are reported. Analysis of the entire present sample (1982-1991) made it possible to determine a photometrical period of 0.2751302 +/- 0.0000004 d, which coincides with the orbital one. The minimum at phi = 0.54 is absent in the middle of quiescence and appears before and immediately after the outburst. This definitely indicates an increase in the disk dimensions before the outburst - the hotspot is moving toward the star, giving rise to the conditions for a total eclipse.
