This is a new method for the determination of time in which the latitude of the place of observation is not required in the data, consequently previous observations for the determination of this coordinate are not needed. The example included of the determination of time by this method is compared with one in which the same "time" was calculated following the classic method; the results agree satisfactorily. The list of pair of stars given contain stars brighter than the third magnitude. Finally the exactness of the method and the limits to which the observations must be subject is discussed.
