New lifetime measurements for 11 levels in Nb I and 13 levels in Rh I have been performed by time-resolved observation of the reemitted fluorescence after pulsed laser excitation. New f-values have been deduced and used in order to redetermine the photospheric abundances of niobium and rhodium. The result for Rh, ARh equals 1.12 plus or minus 0.12, is in excellent agreement with the meteoritic value, but the result for Nb, ANb equals 2.10 plus or minus 0.10, is about four times larger than the meteoritic abundance.
