We present optical and near-infrared data of two stripped envelope core-collapse SNe: SN 2007 gr, a carbon rich SN Ic, and SN 2008D, a SN Ib associated to an X-ray flare (SN2008D/XRF080109). The data of these two SNe, together with those of other similar events available in the literature, will contribute to shed light on this heterogeneous class of objects.
