On behalf of the Space Interferometry Mission (SIM), the NASA Exoplanet Science Instiute (NExScI) solicited proposals for brief science studies that would use the unique attributes of SIM for high precision and/or faint object astrometry. Nineteen studies were selected, covering a range of topics from planet-detection to black holes and neutron stars. This session will highlight the wide range of science investigations that will be made possible by SIM and which will make use of the mission's unique capabilities. The talks will report on the work of the SIM Science Study teams and provide information about the research opportunities that SIM will provide.
