Scientific paper

A computer program for the automatic calculation of stellar positions is
presented; the program supersedes a previous treatment based on star
catalogs for the epoch 1950.0. The new program, based on FK4 or FK5 star
catalogs, includes corrections for the obliquity of the ecliptic and
general precision in longitude.
