A survey of infrared excess emission from nearby Sun-like stars was carried out with Spitzer Space Telescope using the Multiband Imaging Photometer (MIPS) at 24 (MIPS24) and 70 microns (MIPS70). The observed sample was composed of stars nearer than 25 pc, not previously observed by other MIPS surveys, and with V < 9, corresponding to spectral types earlier than M0. MIPS24 integration times were chosen to detect the stellar photosphere at 20 sigma levels or better for all targets. MIPS70 observations enabled detection of dust emission like that from the nearby K2 Dwarf, epsilon Eridani. Preliminary analysis of MIPS24/MIPS70 images is complete for over 300 nearby stars with an additional 200 observed solely with MIPS24. We have identified 18 MIPS24 and 31 MIPS70 targets with ratios of observed flux density to expected photosphere emission that exceed the sample mean by 5 standard deviations. By this criterion, at least 10 percent of nearby stars have cold outer disks, but less than 4 percent are surrounded by warm dust near the star. The MIPS70 detection rate is similar for both G and K dwarfs, in contrast to a lower K dwarf detection rate inferred previously from smaller samples.
