The motion of a small body in the gravitational field of a massive body and a number of massive homogeneous coplanar circles (the ring of asteroids and planets with uniformly distributed masses) is investigated. It is shown that all parabolic comets are isolated from Oort's cloud: they travel inside a closed zero-radial-velocity surface with a radius of the order of 5000 AU. The effect of the asteroidal ring on the motion of Mercury's perihelion is investigated.
