With the recent failure of the HST ACS, well calibrated observations with NICMOS are more important than ever. To improve the quality of the NICMOS observations, we outline new and improved calibration software for NICMOS observations, including the SAAclean and PuftCorr PyRAF tasks. The SAAclean task identifies and removes residual persistent flux caused by the passage through the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA), which affects a significant fraction of NICMOS observations. Another effect, related to electronic crosstalk between the NICMOS readout amplifiers (affectionately known as the "Mr. StayPuft anomaly") can be corrected through the application of the PuftCorr task. Both of these tasks have been tested on a wide variety of NICMOS data and are being made available to the community to improve the scientific quality of NICMOS observations.
