The neutrino-pair bremsstrahlung rate is calculated in the framework of the Weinberg-Salam theory for the dense matter relevant to the interior of hot white dwarfs, where electrons are partially degenerate. Dielectric screening of the Coulomb interaction due to electrons is accurately taken into account through the use of the Fermi-Thomas model for general temperatures. The neutrino-pair bremsstrahlung rate of the present calculation is shown to be significantly lower than that of Cazzola, De Zotti, and Saggion. The results of the numerical calculation are fitted by accurate analytic formulas in order to facilitate applications.
