Results are presented for calculations of continuous and line gamma radiation corresponding to excited states of Li-7 (0.478 MeV), Be-7 (0.431 MeV), C-12 (4.43 MeV), and O-16 (6.14 Mev) nuclei during quiet periods and solar flares. Low-energy (less than 30 MeV) neutron fluxes expected at various distances from the sun during the same periods are also computed. Numerical results are evaluated for the quiet sun as well as for two flares of different importance, one of which was characterized by a power-law accelerated-particle energy spectrum and the other, by an exponential spectrum.
