Aperture-synthesis observations of neutral hydrogen in the extreme northeast and southwest (NE and SW) regions of M31, with a beam of 3.6 x 5.5 arcmin and a resolution in radial velocity of 16 km/s, are described. In the SW, the H I plane is warped away from the major axis and is detectable to a distance of 30 kpc from the nucleus, in good agreement with previous observations. To the NE, the H I is also found to be displaced from the major axis at distances of up to 30.5 kpc from the nucleus. A simple model for the distribution of H I gives a velocity field close to that observed. An H I cloud with anomalous velocity has been found to the NE of M31 at an angular distance of 150 arcmin from the nucleus.
