We present for the first time a numerical simulation that shows that retrograde precession occurs naturally in Cataclysmic Variable Dwarf Novae Systems. Using smoothed particle hydrodynamics, we model a primary to secondary mass ratio q=0.4 system, assuming the primary is 0.8 solar masses. The nodal period excess from this numerical simulation matches that of a system that has been artificially tilted out of the orbital plane. We show face-on, edge-on, and tilted snapshots of our numerical simulation. We introduce our theory to the cause of the retrograde precession and to negative superhumps. Our theory agrees very well with our numerical simulation and with numerical simulations of artificially tilted disks. Letters and subsequent papers are in progress. Animations will also be presented.
