Solar Telescopes: Infrared Telescopes

Scientific paper

The author presents a vacuum solar telescope with one near-infrared filter system which is designed to measure the solar magnetic field in Huairou Station of Beijing Astronomical Observatory. The vacuum optical telescope consists of a primary mirror in 35 cm diameter, a Gregorian mirror, two vacuum windows, a collimating lens, an imagine lens, and a polarized splitting prism. The filter with polarizing analyzer consists of two pre-filters, liquid crystal analyzers, and a wavelength-tunable birefringent filter. This birefringent filter and the optical system of the telescope are described in detail.
