JHKphotometry of the final helium shell flash object V4334 Sagittarii undertaken during 1996--97 is presented in this paper. The data reveal the formation of circumstellar dust of temperature ~ 1800 K two years after outburst. Around 5 x 10^-10 M_. of dust condensed at a distance of about 7 R_* from the star. The mass of V4334 Sgr is 0.8 M_. and it had a radius of ~ 70 R_. in 1997 April--May.
