New infrared data for 18 globular clusters in the outer halo of M31 are presented. The whole set of available IR data (68 clusters) is still insufficient to get firm conclusions. Nevertheless, it allows to draw the following considerations: (1) Within 20 kpc from the M31 nucleus, there is no evidence for the existence of any metallicity radial gradient. The metal poor clusters measured out of 20 kpc are still too few to be taken as evidence of any gradient at very large galactocentric distances. (2) There is no support for the claimed existence of a statistical relationship between the absolute integrated K magnitudes and the IR colors of globular clusters to be used as possible distance indicator. (3) The analysis and comparison of the (U-V)0 - (V-K)0 diagrams for galactic and M31 globulars may indicate the existence of significant "second parameter effects" amongst the M31 clusters.
