We present multi-band near-infrared observations of a subset of 33 candidate High-Mass Protostellar Objects associated with millimeter-wave CO outflows. These observations are part of an ongoing survey we are conducting with the Near-Infrared Camera and Fabry-Perot Spectrometer (NIC-FPS) on the Astrophysical Research Consortium (ARC) 3.5-m telescope at Apache Point Observatory (APO) in Sunspot, New Mexico. Our survey targets objects that have IRAS colors similar to UC HII regions as well as redder objects that are thought to be in an earlier stage of massive star formation. The primary goal of this research is to study the relationship of the near-infrared emission to embedded young stellar objects and massive outflows identified through the millimeter-wave observations, and to search for evolutionary trends. Our observations include narrowband H2 , [FeII], and Br-gamma line and off-line continuum images. This combination of filters is used to distinguish between reflection nebulae, fluorescence, and shocked emission in these regions. We are using our results to prepare a target list for early observations using the Stratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). This research has been funded, in part, through an Illinois Space Grant Consortium Research Seed Grant.
