Effects of deviations from LTE for NaI atoms in stellar atmospheres with Te of 5500-6500 K are investigated. It is shown that the recombination to energy levels with n greater than 3 and downward transitions create an overpopulation of the NaI ground state. It is shown that, for all the stars of the considered effective temperatures, luminosities, and metal abundances, the LTE composition of NaI is overabundant for all the observed NaI spectral lines. Deviations from LTE yield an abundance correction of 0.4 dex for metal-deficient stars. For stars with normal chemical abundances, the corrections are minimal if the 6154, 6160-A NaI lines are used.
