Radiative transition probabilities for the astrophysically important forbidden lines between the 2p3 energy levels of neutral nitrogen have been calculated using the computer program Superstructure. A large configuration basis set has been used and satisfactory agreement with recent MCHF-BP calculations has been obtained. However, the necessity for semiempirical term energy corrections is confirmed and the importance of the relativistic corrections to the magnetic dipole transition operator is reemphasized. The implications of the new data for studies of nebulae are discussed briefly.
